We are excited to announce the update for the Youth Futsal Championships 2024. As we prepare for this event, we want to ensure that everyone is updated with information around dates and associated costs.

DETAILS

• Dates: December 7-10, 2024 (Travelling on December 6).
• Venue: Akau Tangi Sports Centre, Wellington.
• Format: 4-day tournament.

Teams will participate in both the boys’ and girls’ competitions in the following age grades and court sizes.

• Under 19s Senior Court (40mx20m). 
• Under 17s Senior Court (40mx20m).
• Under 15s Junior Court (30mx16m).

CAMPS

We successfully completed our first camp in July, with the next camp scheduled for September/October.

Bay of Plenty

Venue: Silver Fern Farms Event Centre, 44 Stanley Avenue, Te Aroha, New Zealand.

Times: 9:30am to 3:00pm.

• U15 Boys BOP Monday September 30.
• U15 Girls BOP Tuesday October 1.
• U17 Boys BOP Wednesday October 2.
• U17 Girls BOP Thursday October 3.
• U19 Boys and Girls BOP see trial dates.

Waikato

Venue: Silver Fern Event Centre Te Aroha, 44 Stanley Avenue, Te Aroha, New Zealand.

Times: 9:30am to 3:00pm.

• U15 Girls Waikato Tuesday October 8.

• U19 Boys and Girls Waikato see trial dates.

Trials will also take place in October for those wishing to secure their spot on the team. Please note: attending the trials is optional.

Dates: October 6 & October 13.

Venue: The Peak, Hamilton.

• 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm U15 Boys.
• 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm U17 Girls.
• 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm U17 Boys.
• 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm U19 Girls Waikato & BOP (one team representing Waikato and BOP).
• 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm U19 Boys Waikato & BOP (one team representing Waikato and BOP).

Dates: October 13.

Venue: Mercury Arena, Mt Maunganui.

• 11:00 pm - 12:30 pm U15 Girls.
• 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm U15 Boys.
• 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm U17 Girls.
• 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm U17 Boys.
• 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm U19 Girls Waikato & BOP (Venue: The Peak on October 6 & 13 - one team representing Waikato and BOP).
• 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm U19 Boys Waikato & BOP (Venue: The Peak on October 6 & 13 - one team representing Waikato and BOP).

COST STRUCTURE

Due to a loss of national funding, the cost per player has increased this year, with estimates reaching up to $2,250. We understand that this is a significant amount, and we are committed to working with the selected teams/players on an individual basis to help alleviate these costs.

Travel Arrangements

Players will have the option to:

• A: Travel together on selected flights or coaches.
• B: Arrange their own travel to the venue at their own expense.
• C: Explore funding options. 

Once selections are made, we will provide a detailed breakdown of fixed costs, while allowing families to manage floating costs at their discretion.
